Well since I can never afford to go anywhere, painting miniatures is one of my vacation activities most years!

Talking about painting wargame figures … Yes, I have regularly taken time off work for my leisure activities especially including painting toy soldiers, especially for a deadline like a show or an event …

And I do take figures on holiday – especially if the holiday includes wargame/military history commitments (which is, inevitably, a good sort of holiday) …

I paint figures on vacation – but I don't take vacation to paint figures

And I have taken figures to paint with me a few times

I put Yes, but really

Other: I have to burn my leave or I lose it, so sometimes after selecting the days, my intent for those days (lacking a specific vacation/holidy driver) is to paint minis all day.

Vacation Time? whats that?

Not primarily, but I have taken time off to "get things done", which has included painting miniatures.

I have painted on vacation a few times (maybe three), but mostly I visit non-local game stores, buy miniatures, and assemble and prep them before I get home.

When I was single I did but not since I got married.

I always have vacation because I am retired. And when we leave for holidays (is that the same or just the English version versus the American version ?)for more than a couple of days I take paint and figures with me. We always go by car so there is space enough.

Qualified YES. I've painted minis while on vacation (and it was a goal for the time taken)

I've taken figures with me a few times while I have gone on vacation, but I have never taken vacation just to stay at home and paint figures.

I often bring minis to prep while on vacation. This year I had to use some days or lose them so I took a vacation where the prime activity was painting. It was a very relaxing vacation and a lot cheaper than the trip I just returned from with the family. grin

I have taken some to do a bit of painting if I expect that there will be lots of downtime with nothing to do. This is rare.
