I am very fond of the ECW. My large 25mm armies were sold at Historicon many years ago and have been replaced by even more 28mm. To cap it all 15-18mm figures have joined the fray!

Well, that was some random sorting order!

The editors do it to keep you alert, MiniMo.

But my usual kvetch: variants on this question keep showing up as though there were some equivalency between period and scale. There is not. There is an equivalency between type of action and scale, and never more so than in the ECW. The scale and basing you need for Marston Moor is horrendously wrong for storming Adwalton Church, and the reverse is also true.

I have 54mm ECW. About half painted by me, the other half a really nice collection. I stalled in finding a good set of rules. Was toying with pushing out a couple of extra horse regiments to be able to run a game at the Williamsburg Muster. Real life interfered and I had to scrap the plan. The issue with 54mm is it is still very much like the old Airfix problem. Just enough of each arm to build an army but, lacking variety. That said I really do like them.
