I couldn't do it. Rosenberg's "Keepers of the Flame" are an excellent series, well-suited for serial television, but I couldn't vote for it. It's literally Hollywood's favorite stunt: "let's bring modern sensibilities into a different world and show how morally superior modern California is." Rosenberg could pull it off without being smug and grating, but he's dead. |
