It depends. Our three-player 'King of Kings' must have had at least 20 games played using DBA and often with several played in a single evening. Another campaign which revolved around the relief of an 18th Century siege had just a single battle. A multi-player 'Hyboria' campaign could have many more.

Another answer like Texas Jack's. The campaigns that I have run or participated in did not count the battles/games.

Texas Jack for the win.

Until one side achieves it's objectives.

Agree with Texas Jack and VicCina.

I would agree with Texas Jack. Our first hyboria lasted over 2 years with 10+ active players. Our more recent efforts are much shorter and with fewer players. Some last for months others are done in weeks.

+1 Texas Jack.

To many variables. Could be just one if it is a totally smashing victory with just a couple of players. Could be dozens if lots of players and marginal victories.

Texas Jack and Saxondog make valid points. If the campaign rapidly reaches a point where one side cannot achieve it's goals, then it is technically over at that point no matter how many games are scheduled.

Like Texas Jack and VicCina sez

We played one campaign that had 8 games before the Rebs came their senses and surrendered to the Union – another where after 20 plus games those danged Austrians still refused to recognize that Napoleon was destined to rule Europe
