Rules should not be made for a specific miniatures line, nor should miniatures be made for a specific rules set. Keep rules independent of miniatures.

I am not keen on change for changes sake. I would prefer something completely new than any tampering with existing in a majority way.

Edit; something is wrong with what I've written but I can't see it because of my dyslexia

I'm with warwell.

The idea that mini's are rule-specific, is laughable, to me. I only play games which have no miniatures attached to them, or I ignore and substitute, at my pleasure. It is my game, not the rule writing company's game.

I also freely admit I could not care one bit about competition games. That leaves me outside of such companies target market. ;-) Cheers!

+5 to Sgt Slag. I agree wholeheartedly to both of his comments.

What they ^^ all said.

That said, companies keep tying minis to rules and rules to minis and ignoring how people play games. The ultimately leads to lots of minis in the discount bin for me to use in whatever game I choose.

add another +5 for Sgt Slag

Yet another endorsement of Sgt. Slag's views.

I'm another sees things Sgt Slag's way.

In addition to specific miniatures, any company that expects me to buy special dice/measuring sticks or templates/ troop lists released in dribs and drabs just to play their game can count me out.

Currently for anything that GW does I am going to avoid at all costs.

Reasons:

Overprice miniatures and rules
Games are not fun to play
Miniatures are totally over done
