Can safely say I have never heard of any of these books. |

Not one, Grattan? Remarkable. I'd love to see a video of "Allamagoosa," but there's not enough story for a movie, let alone a TV series. It would make a nice episode of an anthology series. Or, really, you could integrate it into an episodic space opera TV series and give the regular actors a week off. (Surely things were happening on other ships in Captain Kirk's day? And both the Empire and the Rebel Alliance do property book inventories?) |

I have read Canticle for Leibowitz. In fact, I think I nominated it. Maybe. 🤷🙄 The others? Not so much. |

Hmm. I've read seven of the nominees in this round, at least in part. (Yes, I finished the novel or the short story. But I'm not sure how many "Bolo" stories there were, and Callaghan's Cross-time Saloon stories also tended to multiply.) But a good story isn't necessarily a good movie, and a TV series is different again. There are several good Bolo stories, but they're short even for TV, and there's not enough continuity for a movie. I'd like to see a movie script-writer try, but I don't think there'd be a lot of Keith Laumer in the final result. |

The Bolo stories were entertaining enough, but certainly not enough meat in them to make much in the way of entertaining TV episodes. |

The Poll isn't about quality of the story or how entertaining they are. It's whether they would make a good movie or tv show. |

I'm amazed that the Chronicles of St Mary's hasn't been snapped up for a tv series yet. |
