Escape From the Bronx, for sure! Quality cheesy knock-off in the finest tradition of Italian cinema. (Seriously, I do enjoy my cheesey Italian knock-offs.)

I've only seen Deathstalker, and I regret the experience.
The rest are unappealing.

Agree, I think there were better years for such a poll.

Very disappointing set of film selections

When"none of these " wins with an overwhelming mandate will that ensure none of the others will go forward to a later round?

I've only seen two "Brainstorm" and "The Day After" and I am not sure "The Day After" is science fiction.

I have a feeling we can just skip ahead to Jedi vs. Wargames in the final.

This must be the first time in any poll I've ticked 5 options.

Thank God for Italian "Escape from Mad Max & The Warriors in New York" cheesy rip offs and Roger "The GOAT" Corman's Argentinian Conan romp that is Deathstalker.

They make up for 1983's dreadful banal soap opera melodrama that was The Day After. My word that truly was awful, try "The War Game" from 1966 or 1984's "Threads" to see the subject matter handled properly.
