Other: Not a GW Player (which doesn't mean I don't buy GW figures) Haven't made up my mind yet. I haven't bought any finecast direct, so it is likely that the reason I haven't seen any of the defects that people are complaining about is because people would be too embarassed to give away a defective mini. As far as the detail goes, it's not bad and paints up fairly easily. |

Although I prefer metal, I have no real complaints about the fine cast (5 models to date). One complaint I do have with some recent GW models (both finecast and plastic) is the impossibility of painting up the completed kit making it necessary to paint some parts before glueing on the bits which cover them. I am firstly a player and can do without that difficulty. x42 |

The ones I saw last year were almost 'carve – your- own' quality. A sprue- wide web of fine resin on one, chunks of the mould on another one and missing detail on yet another. All had bubbles, one of them big enough to be called craters. Very poor. |

Nope. Ass-Cast is a bad idea until they get out all of the 'bubbles'. I was looking for a "metal or hard plastic like they had before" option

I refuse to buy resin figures. It's fine for big monsters and vehicles, but I want metal or hard plastic for anything smaller than an ogre. |

It's weak. I keep hearing how it's all been fixed, but then I work with a figure, and it's got bubbles and other problems. And even without those issues, it's a weak product. Very disappointing. |

No No No and Hell NO! But I only buy from Ebay because I let others spend the big bucks. But I will NEVER buy anything Finecast Resin. |

An excellent move(!), but then again, I'm not a GW fan

I prefer plastic or metal. I have not purchased any finecast, and have no plans to do so. Some figures for my army are only available in finecast, and I will model something less cool from plastic or metal, or simply not field that troop type. |

It's a shoddy product being passed off as a premium one. Maybe they'll iron out the kinks eventually, but it's been an "emperor has no clothes" incident as far as I'm concerned. |

So far we have 134 no votes to 10 yes votes (=93% no,7% yes) I think that is conclusive |

I only got my first Finecast model as it was part of a large trade I made with a guy on Bartertown. It went together fine. Missing a piece, but that has more to do with the trader I think than GW & will be rectified. I am still unconvinced and do not want/need/desire Finecast ANYTHING. My stand at first was "NO FINECAST EVER, NO WAY." Now it has altered to, "No used Finecast (NIB only), only off Bartertown or eBay and only if it is a minor part of a larger trade/buy of metal/plastics that I really want." |
