This is round 1A.
Choices are in alphabetical order. Last one here started with H. Look for L in next one.

This stretches "The Renaissance" from Agincourt to the Glorious Revolution--nearly three centuries. My History profs would stake me out on an anthill for that one. I picked some nice movies for wargamers, but let me explain The Quatrocento. I won't go past 200 years, even if we called it "Pike and Shot."

I blame WRG. Clearly they had rocketed past "Ancients", and needed a catch-all name for a different vaguely coherent period for new rules.
It's like naming the period from the English Civil War to the Franco Prussian War "Marlburian".
Come to think of it, there's probably a few unsuccessful rules out there that do cover that period. 🤷

Unless they're wearing codpieces and puffy shirts, it ain't "Renaissance".

Even WRG put 100 Years War and Wars of the Roses in their Medieval lists and not Renaissance. Henry V ain't Renaissance period in England!

I am not sure any Renaissance film is the best for wargamers. I mean how are movies like "The Other Boleyn Girl" best for wargamers?
