I'm not dead…yet…

This really should have been a "pick three" or thereabouts poll. I've painted. I've sold. I've given away. I've painted and sold. I've painted and given away.

Give me another--five years, I think. If I'm spared that long I should be down to where I should have stopped in the first place. Brutal truth is, it's hard to get rid of the stuff. Only so much room in the hatchback or on the flea market table, and only so many conventions a year.

Other: all of the above, depending on the individual castings.

other: They will continue to sit on the shelf gathering dust like they have always done.

I just gave a bunch of late 19th C and SYW cavalry to a friend who will actually use them.
That put a sizable dent in my pile, but Fall-in flea market is coming up soon.

I'm actually down quite a bit, but running out of unpainted lead at my advanced age is quite frightening. I need more.

I actually paint them.

I hope to paint them eventually. In the meantime, I try not to think about them …..

Paint or sell. I have figures in both categories.

kodiakblair05 Oct 2017 2:14 p.m. PST

No lead pile to speak of. I've a very small number of 6mm figures yet to paint, that'll complete all sides in Feudal Britain. Tiny amount to complete Dark Ages 3mm skirmish project. The remainder are 2mm Ancients so no concerns there.

I hope to live long enough to actually enjoy retirement. I expect to whittle away the mountain at that point. If I no longer enjoy it I will sell it off. If not here, well my kids will sell it.

I truly plan to paint everything I have. I cut my losses on a couple of things and sold them. But I recently did a pretty big down-sizing and the rest I truly intend to paint.
