I've only sold armies once. One was largely a covid project; another a club project I'm done with; and a couple of HotT armies. Maybe an average of four years, but not a valid sample. |

You buy it, but it is not your thing. How soon do you flip it? For me, minis takes years to sell off, if ever. Rules a few years, depends on if someone at the club likes them so they might come into use. Board games are on sale on the Geek minutes after I give a thumbs down. |

For me, there were three great bottlenecks. There was the Bottleneck of 1981-83, when the money ran out, the Bottleneck of '89-93 when everything ran out, and the Bottleneck of 2013-2020, when I realized time and opponents had run out, and I wasn't likely to live long enough to paint or play with everything on hand. I think I've got it right now. When you're actually worried that people might die and leave you castings, you're pretty much cured. |
