Is Josey Wales really a ACW movie?
I mean it's more like a western/action movie with a bit of ACW theme. |

"Ironclads" was awful. Typically, a perfectly serviceable historical narrative gets tossed for hackneyed soap-operatic drivel. I was so excited for it when it aired- ah, to be young and innocent again! And, Josey Wales rocks hard. |

Josey Wales starts in the ACW but doesn't end there. And it's easily one of the best movies Eastwood ever made. Yes, even Unforgiven. |

I am quite surprised neither of these movies made the list: Friendly Persuasion – 1956 – Gary Cooper, Anthony Perkins

imdb.com/title/tt0060095 I really love "Friendly Persuasion" and consider it an excellent film, and I think Kelly is very entertaining, but I am sure others would not find these in their top 5 Civil War movie list. |
