Interesting – surprising how few votes for Vom Kriege given the many twists put on it by people who from what they say have apparently never read it |

I voted for Huckleberry Finn, the Great American Novel, because of the angst and Pearl clutching over "N-word" Jim, the only noble character in the book. I voted for "Origin of Species" because of the "might makes right" misunderstanding of survival of the fittest. What it really says is those who live to reproduce, for whatever reason, pass on their traits. And I voted for The Prince because nobody seems to know if it's satire or an instruction manual, or a bit of both. Some of the others seem to be misinterpreted due to a lack of reading comprehension. As mentioned above, 1984??? Really? How could you misinterpret that? |

It would help if it had the English translation. Not every knows what Vom Kriege (On War) is. |
