Every time I go there, I am reminded of why I dont go there more often.

John the OFM18 Aug 2014 5:58 p.m. PST

Oh, come on. Let's get real here.
It may be a wretched hive of scum and villainy, but they are peoples too!
More or less…

Cosmic Reset18 Aug 2014 6:09 p.m. PST

This crap is getting old.

kyoteblue18 Aug 2014 6:21 p.m. PST

This was old the last 5 times Frothers and TMP had a war.

Winston Smith18 Aug 2014 6:41 p.m. PST

This is the dumbest poll since "Who is your favorite Olsen twin?"

This is the dumbest poll since "Who is your favorite Olsen twin?"

Did I miss that one? I would've created a sockpuppet account so that I could've voted for both.

Weasel18 Aug 2014 7:23 p.m. PST

How absurd.

John the OFM18 Aug 2014 8:35 p.m. PST

Not possible. If you create the account AFTER the poll is started, you cannot vote. Right Winston? Or was it Son of William Pitt the Eldar? I forget.

Anyway, if the account was made BEFORE the poll starts, you can play.

I appreciate the originator of the poll's intent.

That said, I'm sick of polls.

I'm sick of stupid quarrels between web forums.

I'm sick of idiotic drama. We are simply grown men who pursue a harmless, oddball hobby. That's all.

I also suspect Bill would mention Frothers himself, refuse to DH himself, and more drama would ensue.

Cyrus the Great18 Aug 2014 9:00 p.m. PST

It doesn't matter now as I can no longer vote for my favorite Olsen twin. Mary-Kate or Ashley… now I'll never know. A statement of my dilemma.

This is all a bit sad and silly, isn't it?

I agree.

That didn't take long – we haven't had them running regularly for getting on for a couple of years I guess.

Amen!

I was sick of polls before they went away. I would have voted not to have them return.

See what I did there? :)

Oh Bugger19 Aug 2014 6:50 a.m. PST

Yeah its pretty tedious alright 'twould make a great radio play though. Truth really is stranger than fiction.

sjwalker3819 Aug 2014 10:29 a.m. PST

Can we have a poll on whether we should have any more polls?

Note that's p-o-l-l-s, not P-o-l-e-s, who are all wonderful people, great electricians and without whom Boston (Lincs, not USA!) would be a much duller place and our agricultural system would collapse.

In Chicago, when I was growing up, the Italians lived next to the Poles. We got along fine. Some were friends of mine and even were part of our Italian street gangs. I really liked the Polish sausages they made. Of course, Pizza came before the Poles food.

John the OFM19 Aug 2014 6:21 p.m. PST

As an American of Irish descent, I would like to thank both the Polish and Italians for delicious food that goes beyond "boil it!"

redbanner414520 Aug 2014 4:48 a.m. PST

Since I don't know and don't care what Frothers is I voted no opinion.

Doug MSC Supporting Member of TMP20 Aug 2014 5:40 a.m. PST

I've also had a couple of close Irish friends growing up in Chicago. They were very loyal and a bit crazy but you gotta love them. But, I agree, their food was not something to rejoice over! Were we discussing Poles here?

Patrick Sexton Supporting Member of TMP21 Aug 2014 1:40 p.m. PST

The majority of our electrical assemblers and one of our electrical engineers are Polish as are a couple of our machinists.
And I swear, at least three of them are former GROM.
