Vaguely surprised that FoW isn't on the list.

Can't think offhand of a minis game or RPG where I'd actively prefer an older edition. I have always preferred the orginal farmer rules in Carcassonne.

I agree FOW should be on the list. The last change cost them most of the players in my area,

Command Decision; Test of Battle (CD4) was the jump to FOW scale. The 'stick with' is CD3.

None of the above. Who am I to dictate what rules or edition people should use?

rmaker: The question is what are YOUR go-to rules you'd rather like to play. No mention to dictate anything to anybody. You must have misread the premise.

2e BattleSystem, mass battles, based loosely on 2e AD&D RPG rules. Great fantasy mini's game. Has everything covered, including the kitchen sink.

I am in the, "enjoy the game, let the rules fade into the background," camp, though. I like playing my favorite rules because I know them so well, they tend to fade into the background, so that I can enjoy what is happening in the game, without being bothered by the rule mechanics. YMMV. Cheers!

so interesting that there are so many different votes for so many different games.

also that so many people feel the same way as i have without me ever talking to anyone about these games.

Of the rules I play on this list, my opinion is later editions are much better. So I voted none.

Fire & Fury Brigade, Saga, Bolt Action. Never seconds.

I liked the original version of Armati.
