How did the M113 end up here?

It is a piece of junk APC.

Sure the US made thousands of them but you really did not want to be in one if it was getting shot at.

It was under powered and not that great.

You can argue the Bradley is an IFV, not an APC.

I always liked the Austrian one that could run on tires or tracks. somewhat unreliable though.

What about the Ratel? Seriously. High mobility and a good platform. Or the Casspir?
