I honestly don't see why starship troopers is popular. I read the book and saw the movie and didnt like either. The Avalon hill game was far more interesting!

I think Thieves' World would make a better anthology cable TV show ala Twilight zone or Outer Limits

Just curious to know why Starship Troopers keeps showing up even though a movie has already been made about it?

I read Team Yankee back when the Cold War was still going on. I would have liked to have seen a movie of it. But now I don't see the point of it.

I would guess that Starship Troopers still keeps showing up due to the fact that the movie that was made bears little relation to the book insofar as the MI and their equipment.

Starship Troopers has three live action movies, two cgi movies, an unrelated cgi tv series that follows the book more closely plus the game mentioned. Not bad for a book written in the 1950s.
