She is an absolutely unique piece of naval history. There isn't another ship of this type surviving anywhere else in the world. I'm surprised and saddened that anyone here would say no.

She was also relevant to the US Intervention during the Russian Civil War and brought home the Unknown Soldier from WWI.

She is an amazing piece of US and world history. Absolutely save her.

If you have not had a chance to tour this ship, make a pilgrimage to Philadelphia as soon as you can.

I saw her about 20 years ago and thought she was one of the most beautiful ships I'd ever seen. The Olympia should definitely be saved.

Absolutely and I've put my money where my opinion is! Have some love for the "Texas." Sshe needs help as well.

Her military or political background doesn't matter, it's a valuable artifact of early industrial design of which there are only a handful left.

Without a doubt. Beautiful ship and a fascinating window into a different age.

You can count on one hand the number of remaining pre-dreadnought and dreadnaughts left, she is one of them. (as is USS Texas) This one you can come to a game day in May and help preserve her by playing!

BTW: Wargaming, Inc. is running a fund raiser for the USS Texas through "World of Warships" You can buy a premium USS Texas for $30 USD and 100% will be donated to the preservation. She is in much worse shape. Sadly Olympia is before the timeline of the game.
