I prefer stand-alone scenario books so that they can be used with any ruleset for the period. |

Interesting, TunnelRat. I just voted for the "pared-down" scenario book for the same reason. I thought of the two, that description came closest to the Grant and Thomas scenario books. |

The best scenario books I've come across have been the TooFatLardies pint-sized campaigns. Several linked scenarios and historical background for the price of a pint (more or less, depending on the pub). |

I think Maps and OOB are what I need most. I have done the period work getting my armies ready. |
