Heaven will either have as many minis as I care to play with for any game I'd ever want to play, or it will be so much more awesome than that, that I won't care.
As it is, what my heirs do with my stuff left behind should be whatever makes them happy— and that's all I'd ever wish.

Though if I were buried surrounded by a little metal honor guard, I'd think that was hilarious. Even more when a thousand years from now, some archeologist tries to explain it. 🤣

Bill seems to think I should--or might legitimately--be disturbed by someone else touching my figures even when I no longer have need of them. Quite the contrary! I'm putting considerable time and effort into ensuring that the little fellows fight on many a tabletop long after I'm gone. That's very different from "I'll be dead and won't care if they're binned" but both of those attitudes show up as 0 in the poll.

I voted two. I like the idea of my toys still being used, but there are some people I would rather NOT touch them.

You minimize the risk by advance planning, Saxondog. My 30's pass on my death to the youngest survivor of the old Confederation. He has a son who's interested in learning CLS. My 28's, 6's and 2's go to my son, and my grandsons also play. What they don't want will presumably go to Noble Knight, but it's what I can do.

Zero – I have given away lots of troops and a few entire armies that I have stopped using or never intend to finish – and I have plans for my armies when I join the choir immaterial – for example, I have a young member of the group who will get my five reasonably large SYW armies

My little lead lads should get a nice home!

Zero. A better question may have been how bothered will you be if your figures are all thrown away after you die.

I would have voted (-10), if it were an option: I would be thrilled to know that other people are gaming with my figures!

Around 20 years ago, I sold off a bunch of figures I had personally painted, to raise money for a charity. I missed many of those figures, badly, as I really liked them and I did not want to buy new copies! I sold them to a gamer friend. Around 10 years later, he sold them, but I was not able to buy them back.

Imagine my shock and surprise when another gamer friend, whose painting quality is much higher than my standards, by a country mile, showed me his "newly acquired fantasy figures"… They were the ones I had painted, and sold, years before (I never said anything about them being painted by me, I wanted to see his genuine feelings about them -- specifically whether he was dissatisfied with my painting). He shocked me with how proud he was of having them in his collection! He never complained about their painting, which, frankly, shocked me. His actions gave me hope that my painting was not as bad as I had thought; he showed me that other people could, in fact, enjoy my figures and my paint work. That still gives me hope today. Cheers!

0 It seems to be the best option for them. Having them used in a museum would be cool also. I'd be a bit sad if they were used as landfill.

I'd positively want mmy figures to be used – by anyone that would enjoy them.

With any luck, I could come back and haunt the game tables they're being used on too!

10. I want mine to be as treasured as I have done, and enjoyed on the tabletop -- barring that, a museum display would be nice. The thought of them tossed out after my years of painting and suffering is kind of torturous to me.

I need to sell them to a collector, or a shop that would place them accordingly, or find a worthy heir. They were bought and painted to last.

Zero – If someone can find fun/joy with my hobby stuff after I am gone great but I do not have an unhealthy attachment to them. Which reminds to cull the herd some more.

My adult sons already told me they do not want them.
