Um…isn't Missionary Ridge part of the siege of Chattanooga? Taken all together I would vote Chattanooga a disaster for the Confederates.

I agree with John – also, by the time of Appomattox the horse had well and truly left the barn

While maybe not as big in losses, early war events in the West like Shiloh and Fort Donaldson had a big, big effect on how things went later in the war
