NY bakes cheesecake is the closest thing to "plain" cheesecake, and it'; winning by a mile.

Not a fan of Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes.
Surprisingly, among chain restaurants, Outback has a very good plain cheesecake. The chocolate topping for it is also good.
