Yeah. Still looks to me as though every battle which made it to the second round is something a historical miniatures gamer should be at least somewhat familiar with. Obviously you'd know the ones in your preferred period better, and you'd know ones not listed. But Round 2 is about what you need to know to pick a period intelligently.

None that I never heard of. I just construed the meaning of "should know" to mean "ones I am most interested in".

As for "picking a period intelligently", all that I need is for it to interest me.

Well, I would like to know what the OP means by "should know". I think anyone in the Historical Gaming Hobby would know quite a bit about all these battles. Quite a bit more than an average person or non-historical gamer.

I am a little disappointed about the lack of votes for Saratoga. That battle IMO saved the Revolution. Without it we would be another Canada, (not that there is anything wrong with Canada. I have Canadian friends.) In fact the way things are now. I sometimes wish we were. But that is another story for a another board.
