I stubbornly refuse to participate in this poll |

Too many variables, but one thing I'm m consistent on: maintaining high levels of civility. |
langobard | 14 Nov 2018 4:31 a.m. PST |
Another vote for civility over being stubborn on other aspects of the hobby I participate in to enjoy. |
jefritrout | 14 Nov 2018 7:24 a.m. PST |
In my hobbies, I'm pretty easy going, outside of "fun" I can be "determined" it has been said. |
Vigilant | 14 Nov 2018 8:31 a.m. PST |
The hobby is for fun. Life has too many stresses to add them to my hobbies, so I try to be pretty easy going. |
Parzival | 14 Nov 2018 10:38 a.m. PST |
I'm pretty flexible on the whole hobby thing; it's just a hobby. But on issues of liberty, right and wrong, respect for the rule of law, I'll hold my ground till it burns up around me. (Not that I'm not willing to listen to or consider other points of view, but at some points I make a stand.) So split the difference and call it a 5. |

A lot depends on the other person. If he is reasonable, then we have no problem and can work it out. But if someone is not reasonable, or is uncivil, then I can be obstinate on my position. |
etotheipi | 14 Nov 2018 5:28 p.m. PST |
I was being obstinate with good reason. Obstinate means holding to an opinion despite good reason to change. You can't be obstinate about facts. You can't believe you are obstinate with good reason, though you could believe you have a good reason to hold an opinion, in which case you would be obstinate, but not believe you are. |
Old Contemptibles | 14 Nov 2018 6:53 p.m. PST |
Obstinate: Stubbornly refusing to change one's opinion or chosen course of action, despite attempts to persuade one to do so. Stubbornly adhering to an opinion, purpose, or course in spite of reason, arguments, or persuasion obstinate resistance to change. Not sure you can be obstinate with good reason. They may be mutually exclusive. |
Old Contemptibles | 14 Nov 2018 7:09 p.m. PST |
I game with a few guys you could call obstinate. I have a lot of respect for the ones who can admit when they are wrong. |
Frederick | 15 Nov 2018 6:29 a.m. PST |
I am flexible in gaming but at work I would have to say that I am pretty obstinate |

will try most genre at least once but I know I don't like train games so I will pass on them in the future |
PrivateSnafu | 15 Nov 2018 3:25 p.m. PST |
I used the word correctly and you can't persuade me otherwise. I stubbornly agherred to my opinion because the others persons argument was wrong. You are over thinking it. It doesn't have to be a reasoned argument. Being obstinate in spite of a reasoned argument is stupidity. |

Sure do ask a lot of questions so I went with a "7". |

When it comes to gaming I'm a 1. When it comes to right and wrong in life, I'm a 9. |
