Actual = The Silver Bayonet. Also throwing in an Other = Valour & Fortitude which I prefer over Black Powder for bigger games. We got a lot of votes going for games that typically run in 15mm, including 4 so far for Napoleon's Battles?!? Is this real, or are folks just ignoring the actual question in a very grand-tactical way? |

I can't speak for the people answering the poll, miniMo, but NB is done in 28's. I know an active group within two hours of me playing that way. (Yes, the table set-ups are interesting.) And my people play CLS in 30's, but we always have. What rules are you thinking of as typically run in 15mm? It struck me that a lot of the voting seemed to be for skirmish games, or for (nominally) "basing agnostic" systems for fighting proper battles. |

Huh. Never seen or heard of NB in 28 before; all games are scale agnostic (if you have a big enough playing area to scale upwards with the grand-tacticals). Snappy Nappy is another I haven't seen in 28; although with the nominal small figure count per base, seems more manageable than NB. At least with large-scale NB, the ID tags on the bases should be a lot easier to read out on the table. : 3 I pretty much steer towards skirmish games for 28s. Except for really massive tables, 28mm games always look like a skirmish game to my eye anyway. Also, would take forever to get enough figures painted to put a game on the table. The smaller figure count games have also proven better at luring in new players with games at the FLGS. The Silver Bayonet, and Test of Honour, have been going steadily at the store this year. Embarking on expanding my ToH collection to also cover a larger skirmish game with the Naginatas version of Never Mind the Billhooks rules in the pipeline. Things From the Basement at my request kindly made up new sabots for Never Mind to hold the ToH minis. But even though I can host ToH games already for multiple players, I still have to increase my figure collection by about 150% to put out a pair of armies for NMtN. Lots and lots of trimming and painting is piling up in the queue here… |

I don't get this poll. I don't know of any rules written specifically for any scale. Usually 15mm or 28mm works for most games. Although single base skirmish games are better suited to 28mm but some do use 15s. |
