Easily could have checked eleven – maybe that is why I have nothing to do with GW in general.

Because some misguided fools insist on playing with you soldiers in a manner I do not approve of. And they claim to be having fun!!!

nazrat29 Jun 2015 6:54 a.m. PST

I've had tons of fun with the system so I "hate" absolutely nothing about it. Hell, come to think of it if you have that strong a feeling about a bloody game you probably have some real problems in your life.

+1 to Winston, not my cup of tea but I can't care enough to hate it, life's too short.

Atomic Floozy29 Jun 2015 8:22 a.m. PST

I don't "hate" the game. But to have invested in models that are no longer allowed in the game (many that are better sculpts than what is currently available) & the advantages given to the newest releases, I decided that I wanted to play miniature games & not take part in an arms race that seemed to funnel many players to only a few armies of similar uber characters & magic.

Just not my cup of tea.

To quote from Casablanca:

You despise me, don't you?

If I gave you any thought I probably would.

I don't hate it at all, in fact I rather like it.

Weasel29 Jun 2015 11:18 a.m. PST

Like the setting but I don't really like playing games where all the figures have to be scrunched up in blocks.

We've done various skirmish games over the years and enjoyed it.

I like it overall but find that Chaos is way too overdone plus the frequent rule editions are irritating

Mithmee29 Jun 2015 1:11 p.m. PST

Only five choices?

Really I could have picked far more.

They got rid of their best talented individuals or those individuals decided to leave.

They are unable to get any balance into their games and believe that by giving more Saving Rolls that makes an Army Better.

So yes I hate GW because they have either trashed their games or stop supporting them outright.

Warhammer is not my cup of tea, but what is the point of such a negative poll? A lot of people have a lot of fun with Warhammer, and more power to them.

Xintao29 Jun 2015 2:14 p.m. PST

You missed, Igo-Ugo. I hate that aspect of WH.

As the years go on – and even though I haven't played Warhammer or WH40K for years – I think that it is the hatred that I hate the most.

I don't have the energy to hate a game just for existing and being popular.

But the figures are expensive. wink

MDIvancic29 Jun 2015 5:52 p.m. PST

Well said 20thmaine.

Good news for all, no new editions of WFB, so play the version you and your friends prefer. I'm leaning toward 6th or 7th myself.

RIP WFB

Syrinx029 Jun 2015 8:13 p.m. PST

No hate from me either. My group just lost interest in playing a new addition when 7th edition came out. We had played WFB alot in the previous years and WH40K grabbed the non historical time slots. I wouldn't mind playing 6th again as I have all my Skaven. Might take me awhile to find them though.

What a disappointingly negative poll….

David Manley30 Jun 2015 2:21 p.m. PST

"other" – nothing

langobard01 Jul 2015 6:13 a.m. PST

That it is more about the miniatures than anything else. I far prefer to play a game like HOTT where each miniature can be slotted into a generic category such as 'riders', 'knights', 'behemoths' etc than a game system which requires me to be buy each codex as it comes out so I can keep up with the specific abilities of each troop type. If I could just buy the rules, and then the lists of the armies I'm interested in, I would be happy, but I also have to buy the lists of armies I have no interest in, just in case someone puts them in front of me on the table. Sad.

Yesthatphil01 Jul 2015 2:24 p.m. PST

Not a hater … so as long as the Warhammer tank keeps off my lawn I couldn't give a fig wink

Another non-hater here, I quite enjoyed Warhammer, but did get tired of pretty much needing a subscription to White Dwarf to keep up with the rules, as well as needing all the codexs to know what other armies special rules were. When Hordes of the Things came out with its generic classifications of flyers/behemoths/hordes etc I had found a set of rules that suited my approach to fantasy battles better, and have stuck with HOTT ever since. So for me, simple preference of one rules set/philosophy over another.

Mooseworks802 Jul 2015 7:43 a.m. PST

Have always loved the Warhammer background and fluff. Stopped enjoying the rules well over a decade ago. However I am looking forward to the AoS box set and giving the new rules a try. Like Iangobard above and his use of HotT; I prefer abstract rules. I have really enjoyed rebasing my old Warhammer armies over to 5" front bases for my own mod of Neil Thomas' One Hour Wargames Rules.
