Can I cast multiple votes for Firefly? It wasn't bad, it just wasn't all that and a bag of chips either. |

Jersey Shore doesn't belong here. Nobody ever gave it any respect to begin with. |

Can I cast multiple votes for Firefly? It wasn't bad, it just wasn't all that and a bag of chips either. HERESY! HERESY! Burn him!
Doing a rewatch of Castle, and last night was the episode with a murder at a science fiction/comic convention. The show makes (loving) fun of Star Trek, Firefly, Andromeda, Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars, SF fandom, conventions, even manga/animé and more. Includes cameos from Jonathan Frakes (Will Riker on ST:TNG, also the episode's director) and Armin Shimmerman (Quark, ST:DS9). Of particular note is a point where Nathan Fillion's character mocks Firefly indirectly by referring to a fictional shows' status as a 1 season wonder. He also does impressions of William Shatner and Patrick Stewart. It's a great episode, with lots of allusions and silly bits. The mystery is fine— you're not really meant to solve it, and can't without the solution that pops up late in the show; you might make a guess, but there's no evidence to really support such. But this episode is about the fun, not the mystery. If you love SF (and can take a joke), it's a hoot. |

Can any murder mystery as a Con exceed Sharon McCrumb's Bimbos of the Death Sun? In the words of the victim "Young man, that is not a period weapon!" |
