What can I say? Nothing there I ever watched on a regular basis, and most of them I've never seen.

Ditto. My choices come later alphabetically.

A couple of those I've actually watched and really enjoyed, the others I can't judge because I haven't seen.

I can judge Big Brother without watching a single episode. Dumbest show on network TV. That it has remained on air stuns me.

Rewatching the original Dexter now in preps for the new one. Liked it back then, still plays well today.

My wife is currently rewatching Castle. It will be playing all night on ROKU channel. At least she finished Dance Moms!

To me "overrated" suggests it was highly regarded at some point. Using that criteria I don't think all of these apply.

I'm waiting for MASH, or the saga of Saints Hawkeye and Margaret of Korea.
Then I shall vote and opine.

I agree with the above definition of "overrated". It must be critically acclaimed, but not deserving.

I'm with enfant and the OFM on this one--overrating requires an undeserved high rating at some point. That brings us to whose opinion counts, and the standards by which we judge story-telling, and we have no agreement on either. (As with OFM, I'll put my own feelings about objective merit to one side and trach MASH when the time comes. The ribs episode to one side, I really hate that show.)

A lot of folks around here really groove on negative waves.

ALF is "overrated"? I didn't realize people rated it highly to begin with. I remember it giving me some laughs when it first aired. I haven't sought it out since.

It must be critically acclaimed

… or popular acclaim.

This just seems like a bitchfest. I decided not to vote cause most of these I never watched anyway and had no desire to, but that means I don't know enough about them to say they're "overrated" whatever that might mean.

I just ran the whole poll. 60 programs listed, of which I have seen episodes of 10, and probably a decent sample only of about three.

Last week I watched the first episode of Bonanza for the first time since … well a long time ago. Enjoyed it.
