My cat allows me to provide housekeeping and food services to her. She still tries to kill me when I'm going down the stairs! |

I own none, but my next-door neighbor's free-roaming cats keep me entertained. |

One, that's currently miffed that I've let us run out of "the wet food". |

Three currently share a home with us. It was four up until June. Great companions and friends. |

We have 8. One turned 16 in June and one turns 16 this month. I would be surprised if either see's another birthday. :( Of the next four the "youngest" is 12 or 13. Then the babies. One is about 8 months and one is just over a year. |

I share my apartment with three, sort of. Two are inside only cats, the third is an inside-outside cat who has chosen to visit a friends house a lot. |

Technically I have none, but the one we got for my daughter decided that I am his--and who am I to argue? Really love the fuzzy little guy :) |

None. But a couple of neighbours' cats keep me busy clearing up their crap from my garden. Why can't they go in their OWN bloody garden….!! |

Mithmee | 24 Oct 2016 6:50 p.m. PST |
None Both the wife and youngest daughter are allergic to them. |

Three, currently. Was two until early this year, when the universe, against our wishes, sent us another one, and when that happens, waddaya gonna do? I want to add, just as a note to people who think they're allergic to cats, that I *used* to think that, and would sometimes have allergic symptoms, long ago, when the wife would introduce a cat into the house. I grew up with dogs and didn't acquire cats until I married the Catwoman. But you know, after a few days, the allergic symptoms, which I treated with over-the-counter antihistamines, went away and have never returned. Possibly a lot of folks who think they're allergic to cats are only allergic to their NEWNESS, and will quickly adapt to them? Just something to consider, before rushing to judgment. Maybe give things a few days and see? |

My wife is strongly allergic to cats (and has been medically diagnosed as such). After 5 years of allergy shots, she can now spend 1 night at my sister's (who has two) and still be able to breathe. If we try to spend 2 nights she gets quite sick. |
