Yet, how are we to know when and where this is the case? I only know when some old range is (somewhat) available on a case-by-case basis when I run across a happy link or some such.

Had I seen the poll, I would have nominated FASA, mainly for the Star Trek line. Some of their other lines are still available at Iron Winds Metals.
