I can only speak bout the rules I actually use. |

What'd a new edition for Rogue Trader mean? There's been umpteen new editions of WH40k since, is the idea a new edition that goes back to more like RT rather than the directions took in the actual subsequent editions? |

Although I voted for "To the Strongest!" one should know that the 'BigRedBat' puts out frequent updates to this rule set even as he works on a new edition. And there is a lively forum for both this set and his "For King and Parliament" ECW set. link In addition there are several of us working on an update to "The Sword and the Flame" rule set. Jim |

I'm curious to see the revised TSATF, but I'm not at all sure that it needs to be updated. I'll probably go with Santana and the lovely Michelle Branch and take "a little bit of this and a little bit of that." |

In my judgment, TS&TF needs at minimum a reorganization and precision edit, and also the most recent published edition (20th Anniversary) if used as a basis needs to have the official errata included. There was a lot of errata. Larry Brom was still clarifying and rethinking to the end and I expect he would make some changes after 40-plus years. Beyond that, fans would all have different ideas, but I would like a thorough clean-up of all the grey areas that spark endless squabbles and house rules to settle questions. There are some very slight changes I'd like to see to improve playability/"realism" that would not affect the tenor of the rules. Some of the background/historical/gameplay sections might be expanded or updated, some of Optional Rules revised and expanded -- and most of all, I'd love to see separate chapters that present some of the most enjoyable and popular and esoteric offshoots, like The Sword in North Africa, the Boxer Rebellion, the Sword in Gaul, the Indian Mutiny, and whatever that French & Indian War variant was called. |
