CLS basing was certainly mentioned in the discussion. How did it not make it to the poll?

1/2" frontage for infantry, 1" frontage for cavalry. Depth doesn't really matter.

20x20mm clear bases from LITKO for most of my basing.

Not expressed as basing size.

6 infantry or 2 horse on a large FOW base. Doesn't match any rules basing scheme, but I like the look of it.

I'm with SW above. "The old ways are best."

I also base them 1/2" per infantry and 1" per mounted figure.

Can't be--unless you want about a two-paragraph description. Doesn't mean it's not a way to base troops.

I would never consider 28mm Napoleonics, except as skirmish figures, like Sharpe. In that case, it would be single figures on 3/4" or 1" OD washers. Ditto artillerists. Cavalry? 1" x 2" bases, single mounted.

War of 1812? That ship has long sailed. Nope.

~1" rounds for The Silver Bayonet, they can get plopped into sabots if they ever multiply enough for a larger skirmish game than that.
