I do quite like their paints – notably their inks which for those of us without much access to Vallejo were a real game-changer for speeding up painting masses of troops

Mserafin, they created the Franchise Miniatures Hobby. FMH is vastly more popular these days than the sort of miniature gaming that involves research, or actually writing rules or scenarios based on your understanding of a period.

Good point, Your Eminence. I have and re-read both editions, and would probably buy a third if they wanted to try some other things.
