I will never cease to sneer at the "holding a pistol sideways" trope. The only good thing about it is that the more wannabe "gangstas" mimic that in real life in order to be "cool," the lower their chances of actually hitting a person they're "aiming" at. So keep it up, Hollywood. Maybe it will save a few lives. |

Unfortunately, poor marksmanship in criminals may decrease target hits, but it tends to increase hits on everything else. The thing that I never articulated for this poll is related to the cover one. It's more that, depending on the plot need, a bullet will be stopped by a cardboard box and then the next one will go through a brick wall and hit the target hiding behind it. |
