I voted "All of the above" not because I have seen them all, but because almost all of my watching happens when I am painting.

This is nuts. You don't WATCH while you paint: you LISTEN while you paint. Apart from music, the various "Further Adventures" or "New Adventures" of Sherlock Holmes figure prominently. There's also "Johnny Dollar" Orson Wells' "Third Man" and J Scot Smart as "The Fat Man."

Na Robert, I watch and paint. I'm the guy who nominated Riff Trax and MST3K…I've seen them so many times I know when "the good parts" are coming and I pause painting and watch while the joke happens…..

Does listening to baseball games on the radio count?

Other = what do I have in the stack that matches my current project.

I definitely find it handy to have a vid on while painting, look up periodically to change focal distance, can paint longer that way.

Painting for Donnybrook now, so the Dutch mini-series De Legende Van De Bokkerijders is on deck again.

Combat, Dungeons and Dragons, Girls und Panzer, Man From Uncle, Mission Impossible, Robotec, Rome, Sharpe, Spartacus, The Sweeney, Wacky Races, Wild Wild West have all seen viewings over the years of painting.

I paint in my basement. No TV, no music. Nothing.

Something that I don't have to pay much attention to.

I have to agree with Robert P. I can't watch anything while I am painting. I listen to music, YouTube videos, podcasts, etc. I am too focused on what I am painting to be watching anything else.

I put videos on sometimes if not to involved
I like the Napoleonic War gamer that he is talking while painting often himself

Absolutely could not watch anything while painting – I do a bad enough job already! Sometimes listen to music but mostly just paint in silence to get into the zone

I stand, or sit actually, with Grattan 54 and Frederick on this issue.

I bounce between ST:TNG, ST:DS9, the occasional Voyager episode, my music on Spotify, and my stations on Tune In Radio.
Tune in is way less now that A Bomb Radio, Coffee and The Muse, and War Between The States Radio are now gone.

I will happily listen to music or audio books while I paint, but video distractions? No thanks.
