First I bought dice. Then I upgraded them. I sorted by size and color, and got rid of the ones which were hard to read. And now I'm hearing the call of the dice specific to one faction or army.

You know you've got it bad when you're researching a set of custom dice for Vichy France.

Robert you are spot on!

There´s a Tiger shop at the train station I commute to every morning, and I love checking out to see what dice they have on offer.
And really, one simply never has enough dice.

The most recent purchase was a set of large (30+mm) D20 and similarly sized %age dice. Getting old and with various eye issues among our group big dice can be see across a table, small ones can't.

Don't like or use the 'custom' dice unless there is some sensible reason for using them – which is rare. They are just there to tempt the vain & foolish (like new figure ranges and periods I haven't played yet).

Bling. Bling makes me buy dice!

Just this afternoon I was sorting the counters from the old SPI game Sorcerer into a thin Plano box which will travel better than the original counter tray (and fit into the Designer's Edition box). Checked the dice cellar to see if I had a full spectrum of dice to put in with the game.

Had all but one in translucent Koplow dice. Will try to buy a matching green one at TotalCon this week, or else a full spectrum matching set.

The curse of the Bling.

Cheap Dollar Tree D6 are great for Flames of War. grin

I do have "enough" dice for all my gaming needs. However, that thought also applies to my miniatures. I think the same logic applies to both.

Dice are awesome. I will never have enough…different colors, sizes, and shapes. grin

Gildas, I've got a bag of 1" on a side D6's set aside with the 54mm horse and musket. They're not necessary yet, but I don't want to be scrounging for dice and castings--or having to paint them--when we reach that stage.

Best I can say for custom--except for appealing to my vanity--is that in "buckets of dice" games, it keeps the dice I've just thrown from being confused with my opponent's.

I have a set for my Prussians ( white and black) a set for my Russians ( blue and yellow) but thinking about it need a set for my British, ( red and something else)
A role not with the official army dice do not count.

I have more than enough dice for what I need!

Of course I still buy dice. You can't use COC dice with Conan or Hail Caesar! that just would not do. What a silly question.

I shall keep buying them until I get the ones that roll what I need.
