I'm OK with fantasy and SF gaming, and have the miniatures to prove it. But (a) can't see that it adds much to WWII, which is weird enough played historically, and (b) it's the same problem I have with tossing dragons or Dwarves into the Napoleonic Wars: the more history you know, the more what you know may not be true in the book or the game. I'd say generally any creation which makes knowing about the historical period a hindrance instead of a help is a bad idea.

Not something that has ever appealed to me.

However, if others want to do it let ‘em crack on…

You do you.

Add a unit of zombies to back up one side or another and you still get to sell all the historical stuff too.

That's a win for the historical figure manufacturers.

I've occasionally played and enjoyed Weird War II stuff, but I don't see myself collecting and painting anything for it anytime soon.

The poll title and the actual question mismatch pretty badly, BTW.

I like WWII either Historical or Weird. I enjoy both.

What Cerdic said. It really is not for me. Others can play if they want.

I find it fun to throw in some werewolves to attack a small US patrol. Or a zombie attack on a British outpost.

If you put it on I'll play it. But I don't have the stuff or the desire to run it myself.

Add a unit of zombies to back up one side or another and you still get to sell all the historical stuff too.

Zombifying WWI figs really only needs a painting guide. Maybe nippers to cut off the occasional limb. With a rules (hopefully, only stats, actually) supplement for zed units, you're ready to go.

As noted, someone wants to bring the minis and rules, I am all in
