Just the of things for the lefties to start the slide into the anarchy they seem to want. |

Signs are pointing more to a destabilizing act by state actors (e.g. Iran or Russia). This is one of several similar incidents targeting food retailers. The Dutch firm Ahold Delhaize pulled everything offline last week as their IT people spotted suspicious activity. In addition to their European footprint, Ahold owns several US grocery chains including Food Lion and Giant. They restored their critical internal systems fairly quickly (ordering, scheduling, etc.) but their apps and websites are still offline while they retool security. Walmart may have had an attempt on PoS stations last week as well although they are tight lipped about it. Whether it was a hack that was intercepted or a hastily nobimplemented patch to prevent an imminent threat, they had something significant going on. |
