I'm just wondering who to root for. In Season 2, EVERYONE came across as worthy of being lit up by dragons.
Unlike in Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which actually had Good Guys, and a decent Targaryens to counter the sons of bitches. Maybe I'll cheer for massive crispy critter deaths.
We already know that for the showrunner, the book is more of a suggestion than a requirement. So maybe I'll watch to shout "That's not Nettles!" Or "I'm supposed to care about Aegon? Why?" I'll watch it for the dumb reason that I want to see what comes next. I've done that with too many book series that I didn't care for. 🤷
Maybe to hope they all die. Will they bring in Bloodraven and Bran from the future? Or the Night(s) King? Frodo and Shelob?
I can also bitch about sigils not following the rules of heraldry. Color on color??? 😱 |

Don't feel bad, John. I wasted a considerable amount of time in the late 1970's reading the first six books of the Thomas Covenant series by Stephen R. Donaldson, time I will never get back. To make matters worse, I've decided to try reading the first book "Lord Foul's Bane" one more time to see if there was something I wasn't appreciating those many years ago. |

Yeah, John hits the point: In HoD there really isn't anyone you can root for. They are all pretty vile creatures. In GoT there were lots of REALLY bad people, but there were some good ones you could root for and want to see beat the bad guys. In HoD I just want the dragons to burn the lot of them. |
