Formula 1 has decided to cancel a couple of the races. The Bahrain event at Sakhir was scheduled for 10-12 April, while the Saudi event in Jeddah would have taken place a week later. They won't be rescheduled, so this year's competition will be 22 races, with 5 weeks between the Japanese Grand Prix on 27-29 March and Miami on 1-3 May. There is a reason, but mentioning it would probably get this thread nuked, however anyone following the news cycle can doubtless guess what it is. |

From the F1 website… IMPORTANT UPDATE After careful evaluations, due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East region, the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix will not take place in April. While several alternatives were considered, it was ultimately decided that no substitutions will be made in April. The Formula 2, Formula 3 and F1 ACADEMY rounds will also not take place during their scheduled times. The decision has been taken in full consultation with the FIA and respective promoters. |

Very sadly seems I am not supposed to care anymore. Apple took over and 29 years following can't see races without paying for the privilege. |
