I sort of don't want to see it, feel that I probably will, and am dreading the 30minutes or so of travelogue in the middle of the film (if Avatar 2 is any kind of a guide!)

Never got around to the first two. So, why bother with the third?

It is probably damming with faint praise – but they are better than the Transformer movies.

The selling point is the spectacle – the stories are paper thin, the characters interchangeable, the emotional connection very close to zero. The CGI is pretty impressive, but I wouldn't argue that that is sufficient reason to bother.

It will be a huge hit though.

I'll see it eventually.

I'll see it sometime over the holidays. Agree with 20thmaine's opinion on the series.

Absolutely no interest what so ever. None. Nada. Zip.

Critics say it is better than #2.
Even so, a movie with spectacular visuals but a predictable story really isn't worth the effort to go & see.

Saw it last night – and my thoughts exactly – better than #2.

I'm a little surprised that the new "mad max – Furiosa" tribe were tolerated for so long… But (no real spoiler here) it is spectacular when they the bloody humans get what they deserve….

My greatest fear – the "visit pandora" travelogue – was kept quite brief, and the new cruises they offer in the air-cruise ships do look quite fun, I expect an exterior cabin is quite pricey though.

I saw it. Way better than the second movie, although not as good as the first. OTOH, it was WAY TOO LONG! OMG 3 hours and 17 minutes plus all the pre-movie nonsense. I had to run to the rest room twice! :)
