It is probably damming with faint praise – but they are better than the Transformer movies. The selling point is the spectacle – the stories are paper thin, the characters interchangeable, the emotional connection very close to zero. The CGI is pretty impressive, but I wouldn't argue that that is sufficient reason to bother. It will be a huge hit though. |
