And I'm not talking about Queensland origin supporters, I'm talking about those damn hopping invaders that are in the top end of Australia.
Even though they are toxic, some animals get a high out of licking the things. Unfortunately my two stoopid mutts love to do it and then foam at the mouth and vomit. I can't stop them even if I coat the toads in dettol. Vet can't help, it won't kill them.
Having just cleaned up the biggest vomit in the lounge I now have an angry missus and two unhappy dogs. Worst of all, a super glued shield and spear are stuck to the work table which I was half way through affixing when the proverbial hit the fan.
I hate cane toads.

That's why old maps always drew broken lines around Australia, with "Here be dragons".
Yeah. Dogs are dumb. Loveable, but dumb.
Of course, there are humans who do dumb 💩 to get high too. Let's not forget the fabled drunken elephants.

I don't know if any humans have licked one yet; I bet there is someone somewhere.

I used to have a book on the subject of cane toads, a bit informative, a bit tongue in cheek -- wonder if I still have it? "Cane Toads: A Natural History" I think it was called.

Of course people lick them! Why wouldn't they?
