Tom Lehrer passed away last month at 75. I really enjoyed his music and and songs. link

I think he was 97.

A real genius. The songs were thought provoking. Just because something is silly doesn't mean it's not important.

Most of his important songs were topical, which means they've lost their context. The themes, of course, are eternal.

WERNHER VON BRAUN
words & music by Tom Lehrer

Don't say that he's hypocritical
Say rather that he's apolitical
"Once the rockets are up, who cares where they come down?
That's not my department!" says Wernher von Braun.

A true classic.

RIP.
