The great Lalo Schifrin. Personally, I think he was one of the more underrated cinematic composers of the 20th Century, and he should forever be in any conversation that includes Steiner, Herrmann, Williams, et al.

Godspeed, Mr. Schifrin, and thank you very much for your music and the memories from it.

He wrote many great and memorable film scores, like Dirty Harry, Magnum Force, Bullitt, Cool Hand Luke, Enter The Dragon and The Eagle Has Landed to name but a few.

And on television don't forget his classic Mission Impossible theme and one of my more obscure favorites, T.H.E. Cat.
