Scientists originally projected that our Milky Way Galaxy (yay, home!) would collide with the Andromeda Galaxy (boo-hiss) in 10 billion years, flinging the Earth off into a sunless void! (Yipe! Run away!) But new measurements mean that this catastrophe will not happen (or at least not probably). link I was so worried about this. Now I know there's no need to cash-in my investments early— I'm safe to ride it out! What? Wattayamean "Tails"? |
