James (Jim) MaCarron, co-founder of Stone Mountain Miniatures, Inc., has passed away after an illness. In 1990, he left Stone Mountain Miniatures and started Musket Miniatures.

We still produce many of his original designs for the 15mm ACW range, especially the artillery, which won the 1987 Origins Award for Best Historical Figure Line.

RIP,
Dave

His memorial service today was well attended. It was a beautiful service. Many members of the Colorado Military Historians (CMH) were in attendance. Attendance of all was almost 100 (my estimate).

He was a founder, president and the chief designer of Stone Mountain Miniature and Musket Miniatures for years. He is already missed by many. His leadership leaves a massive pair of shoes to be filled.
