It doesn't say how food gets to the table, so I assume people bring it. The avatar waitstaff has some advantages:
* Easier to get attention (electronically)
* Faster to respond (don't have to walk somewhere)
* Faster order-to-kitchen, doesn't ride local wifi or use a small handheld device
* Better management of customer order history (the waitstaff has a full computer screen, or many intead of a small device)
* They can change your server without disrupting you, the customer
* Easier to dynamically reallocate waitstaff based on activity
* You're still being assisted, and by a human |
