Yesterday afternoon, Taqo the cat my beloved friend and companion passed over the rainbow bridge.

He passed naturally and I was holding him in my arms when he departed.

My wife still recalls, with amusement, when she heard me yell "Those are my dice"!

Pets are a double-edged sword. so much happy when they are with us, so much sadness when they are gone. Had my share; sorry for your loss.

Hi,
My deepest condolences to you. We have an old cat who's starting to have health problems and we know she won't be with us for more than a few years. We'll be devastated when she finally goes so we can imagine what you're going through.
All the best,
George.

Thank you all for the kind words. It's been a month now and I still tear up from time to time.

I am so sorry to have read this but I could see from the Subject title that it was a sad but familiar story. All sympathies to you, Colonel. There is nothing worse than the pain of separation from a loved one, and it doesn't matter who or what it was. This is the price we pay for the time spent together. Treasure those memories and know that you were meant to provide this beautiful feline spirit with a loving home. God willing, you will be reunited one day in a place where there is no more sorrow.
