I hate Ohio State as well. Unfortunately, I'm afraid my Horns are too inconsistent to beat 'em. Penn State, on the other hand, has the best uniforms in football. I hope they beat ND like a drum. Anyone playing ND is my second favorite team.

… and the other half of my finals prediction did not pan out. So I'm 50-50.

I still call ND for the overall win.

I hate being right about some things. My local prediction was OSU vs ND. Since my #2 team is always whoever is playing ND I must, very reluctantly, hope OSU wins the BIG ONE. My other hope is the the "Guys" rejigger the College ball schedule so that it is all over by January 1.

On the NFL SB side of things, Derrick Henry ran over the Steelers to move the Ravens forward. Oh, and Lamar Jackson did some stuff, too.

The Chargers clearly need to move back to San Diego. :P How the heck do you make it to the playoffs and lose to the Texans, who are only there by default?

I care little for college sports since my university years were all spent in disdain for the privileged world of the athletic dept. and all their perks and privileges and status. Those people were really insufferable and turned me Bolshie in that regard. So no dog in this fight, but still … gotta favor Touchdown Jesus over the Buckeyes.

Everyone above was wrong about the NFL! (At least the pros are aboveboard about the profit motive and aren't pretending they care about education or academics. The gambling aspect is a harbinger of dark times ahead, however.) Again, with my Bears (Mice of the Midway) AND Green Bay (overachievers all year) out of the hunt, my interest is purely philosophical. Some favorites are knocked out now… I feel bad for Detroit fans, they've been waiting a long time, but then, so has Buffalo, so I'll root for the Bills out of the four teams left standing as of tonight. I am tired of the Chiefs lucking out so often and all their bandwagon fanbase and media cheerleaders, dislike the new Washington reboot, and Philly plays dirty football and has rotten fans. Time for the Bills to kick that Cigarette-Smoking Man jinx!

Well, I'm now wrong on all counts. Shows what I know about football. (Really sorry for Henry— he deserves a ring to go with all his records.)
