Hmm… seems like the usual suspects dismissed the film. I may have to seek it out, then. For the record, there was also a strong anti-secessionist movement in northern Alabama, with Winston County voting against secession— one rep announced it as "The Free State of Winston!" The residents wound up raising volunteers for the 1st Alabama (Union) Cavalry, which served for the duration of the war as scouts for Sherman. |

It might be a good movie. I've never seen it. It might not. I remember thinking it was reasonably good when I saw it. OTOH I don't remember much about it and feel no great urge to rewatch it. Make of that what you will. |

Only saw it once, know at least it was a true story just don't know how accurate it was. |
